- Current staff is located in Denver, CO and Atlanta, GA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handling all aspects of trademark applications, including preparation and filing of U.S. and WIPO trademark applications (electronic filings) with follow through to registration.
- Managing and maintaining large international trademark portfolios, and communicating with clients and foreign associates regarding trademark filings, refusals, and maintenance;
- Drafting assignment documents for recordation and meeting country specific requirements, such as notarization and legalization of documents; drafting legal correspondence; assisting on due diligence reviews
- Assist attorneys with preliminary and full clearance searches of U.S. and foreign trademarks via commercial database;
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (paralegal certificate is not required);
- 7+ years of direct trademark portfolio management and prosecution experience;
- Stellar junior candidates, both paralegal and associates, with at least 2 years of direct trademark experience, will also be considered;
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask;
- Excellent reasoning and decision-making skills, with the ability to grasp and implement new concepts quickly;
- Strong understanding of law firm accounting and finance;
- Must have excellent IT technical skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet), coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of clients’ needs so they may be transformed into application and operational requirements;
- Must enjoy high volume and fast-paced work environment;
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Knowledge of international procedures, foreign associate management, foreign associate billing, and docketing platforms required, experience with ALT legal docketing system preferred.
- Experience working in the USPTO as an examining attorney preferred
Base Salary (full time): $70,000 – $110,000/year
