Eligon Partner Amy Hsiao Invited to Speak at INTA Event Focusing on Metaverse Trademarks

The International Trademark Association (INTA) will be hosting a seminar focusing on Metaverse rights for brand owners. This virtual roundtable will feature thought-leaders in the space, including practicing attorneys with specialized knowledge on these developing topics. Eligon IP’s Amy Hsiao has been invited to speak on the unique approach the Chinese Trademarks Office (CNIPA) is taking towards Metaverse trademarks for virtual goods. Amy is a partner and the Chair of Asia Trademark and Anti-Counterfeiting practice with Eligon IP. During her section, Amy will address the varying approaches that different Asian jurisdictions are taking towards virtual and metaverse trademarks, the key subclasses under China’s practice, the non-standard but approved descriptions along with recommended strategies for securing virtual rights, and recent developments in China.
