Lee G. Meyer is the head of the licensing and technology transfer practice at Eligon IP.
Lee has served as Chief Patent and Trademark Counsel for a fortune 50 international corporation. He has been a partner and managing partner for offices of major law firms He has represented clients before the United States Supreme Court as well as the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is licensed to practice in five states: Colorado, Wyoming, Ohio, Kentucky, and Texas. He has been responsible for national and international licensing and transfer of technology and intellectual property for mergers and acquisitions worldwide. He has prepared and negotiated international technology transfer and acquisition licenses and the intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions. He is a named inventor on 15 US and foreign patents. He has been an instructor of graduate level courses in technology licensing and transfer.
As a partner in an international law firm, Lee has been responsible for intellectual property strategic planning, acquisition, and licensing. Lee started his career as a senior aerospace systems engineer on the Apollo applications and the Skylab missions where he was nominated “Engineer of the Year.” While Chief Patent and Trademark Counsel at Alcan, he was international counsel for a joint venture among Alcan Aluminum, Dimond Shamrock Corporation, and Corning Glass with research facilities in Geneva, Switzerland.
Lee’s licensing expertise includes licenses and acquisitions of business systems, telecommunication and internet, solid-state processing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, mechanical devices, biotech, coatings, catalysts, metal alloys, emulsions, and substrates.
Lee can provide national and international technology licensing strategies that minimize risk and have been developed over years of experience. He can also assist in forming joint venture enterprises and assist the SEC and other corporate counsel in structuring mergers and acquisitions of intellectual property.
Lee is also the owner of Meyer & Associates, LLC, the firm that advises and obtains protection of valuable intellectual property, making business more profitable through patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing and the federal trade secrets law.
