About
Laura has a broad base of experience in finance, process and operations management, auditing, negotiating, and information technology. She started her career at IBM as a programmer and financial analyst. Laura took a hiatus from IBM to obtain her MBA at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. After returning, she held a variety of positions including business planner, internal auditor, learning services consultant, and sales operations support. During her 28 years with IBM, Laura performed audits and control reviews in the US, Mexico, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, and England. When IBM sold part of its business to Concentrix in 2014, Laura applied her expertise in establishing business controls and consistency for her new employer’s global sales organization.
In her free time, Laura volunteers at a local food pantry. Her favorite time of year there is December when the pantry collects Christmas gifts for children. Because she enjoys working with her hands, Laura is an ace at assembling the many bicycles that are donated. She is an avid supporter of the University of Michigan athletics program, particularly football, women’s basketball, and softball. Laura is an advocate for equality for women’s sports. She is working to improve her golf game and recently started playing bocce.
