About
Tyler King manages Eligon IP’s Trademark Enforcement & Brand Protection program, where he leads complex global trademark enforcement and anti-counterfeiting initiatives for clients. He focuses on high-stakes enforcement matters, including criminal and civil actions involving trademark infringement, customs detentions and seizures, and cross-border disputes that can disrupt international supply chains.
As head of the enforcement program, Tyler shapes and coordinates multi-jurisdictional enforcement strategies to combat counterfeiting and unauthorized distribution. He regularly works with local counsel, investigators, and government authorities worldwide to resolve complex disputes and secure favorable outcomes for clients, including in the notoriously challenging regions of Greater China, Southeast Asia, and South America. His expertise includes trademark prosecution, counterfeit identification and enforcement, and matters involving parallel imports and grey market goods. Clients frequently rely on Tyler for practical and effective enforcement strategies that protect brand integrity and minimize disruption to global supply chains.
Tyler has developed a reputation for resolving time-sensitive enforcement matters and navigating the operational and legal complexities of global brand protection. His ability to respond quickly to emerging enforcement issues, combined with his real-world experience implementing international strategies, helps clients mitigate losses caused by infringers while ensuring legitimate goods continue moving efficiently through global markets.
Before joining Eligon IP, Tyler worked as a patent draftsman and later as a trademark paralegal at Adsero IP in Littleton, Colorado. He is also an accomplished public speaker and has earned national recognition through championship victories in IPDA and TIPDA speech and debate competitions. Tyler remains active in mentoring students through collegiate debate and moot court programs.
“What sets Eligon apart is one simple thing: their emails—clear, concise, and actionable. There’s no fluff or unnecessary CYA; they get straight to the point, making it easy for me to make decisions quickly. This is why I can respond to Eligon’s emails so fast—they give me everything I need upfront, so we don’t have to go back and forth a million times.
A special shoutout to Tyler—he’s been an absolute rock star. Tyler always has answers ready before we even ask, which saves us time, cuts costs, and makes our in-house team look great. And it’s not just that he anticipates questions; he answers every single one I send (no matter how many or what hour!) with impressive accuracy and detail. It’s like working with a brilliant AI—but better, because every answer comes with years of expertise, competence, and a human touch.
There are plenty of horror stories about working with law firms where egos clash and tensions run high, but Eligon is refreshingly different. The vibe is competence, but with a cool edge and a true sense of collaboration. It’s a testament to their managing partner’s ability for bringing together amazing people that lift each other up.”
